I am interested in both seismology and geodynamics, my research mainly
consisting of utilizing seismic observations to map and interpret the internal
structure of the Earth. Some of the
research projects I am currently involved in focus on imaging the
lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary; on the joint inversion of surface-wave
fundamental modes, overtones and body wave data; on the stochastic inversion of
global seismic data to map the complexity of the Earth's internal structure. My
teaching interests include global theoretical seismology, seismic
tomography, and natural hazard. We often have openings for motivated graduate students: if you are
interested, please
consult our vacancies page.
